Happy Thursday!

("Hi/Lo Thursday is where we get to know each other by sharing our emotional/spiritual HIGH and LOW for this previous week. It's a great way to get to know each other better!")

I called Steve at the office (he had a couple free minutes before his "school-to-work" boys showed up) because I wanted to ask him what his "Hi/Lo" for the week was. He said that his "Hi" was that he excited to be getting a lot of details squared away for the missions trip he is taking the youth on this summer! They are working with "Youth With A Mission" once again. This year's destination is Galveston, Texas to do hurricane clean up.

(Just a little pic of some hurricane damage that I found. They'll have their work cut out for them!)

(What the coast line looks like when it's clean.)

My "Hi" for the week is that tomorrow is my wonderful hubby's birthday and we are going on a date to celebrate! Yay! It's been too long since we've gotten out and it will be a lot of fun to do something special for him!

It was easy for us to think of our "Lo". For the past three weeks we've been struggling with a long string of sickness. First Seth got a cold and suffered with fevers and coughing. Next Haddie got it and had lots of difficulty breathing. My turn followed, although I didn't have the same symptoms. Promptly Steve got the flu, followed by Seth and Haddie! AHHHHHH!
We know this is nothing like some of you are having to endure, and through this we've become even more thankful for typically healthy kids. That said... it's been rough! Hopefully we're almost done!
What's your "HI/LO"?

I think sickness is so hard to deal with! Last winter my kids got coughs that lasted a few months. It was awful! Jer always sounded like he was dying and kept us up at night and I was preggo and sick too. I hope it's soon ALL GONE from your family. It's especially hard to be the mom during these times of sickness when you have to take care of everyone.
