Praying for Abby

Hi friends. Just wanted to put up a picture of a little girl we've been praying for. Her name is Abby and she is just a few months older than Seth. She was adopted from Guatemala a couple years ago. Right now she is struggling with Leukemia. Can you imagine a four year old having to go through vicious chemotherapy and its side effects? We are praying for Abby's comfort and healing, that she will get to come home soon, (she is in the hospital again) and for strength and God's provision financially during this difficult time. What's with the Title?

After much thought, we chose "Like Potter's Clay" because we think it describes our lives quite well. At times we have imagined the "perfect" life we think we should have, and we've been upset when things have not turned out that way. Slowly God has been teaching us and changing our hearts. (In Isaiah chapter 45, God asks,"Does the Clay say to the Potter, 'What are you making?'" He continues, "Do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?") We are learning to trust in His good plan for our lives, even when it doesn't look the way we originally thought it should. We are learning that even when we may be in a valley, or when things seem to have gone wrong, God can make good come of it and be glorified through it. ("In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28)
We are clay in the Potter's hands. And we're beginning to like it that way.
